In news that has shocked nobody, Rugby Australia have reportedly sent a complaint to World Rugby bosses over the controversial decision by French referee Mathieu Raynal in the opening Bledisloe Cup test.

The All Blacks 39-37 defeat of Australia in the final minute has sent Rugby Australia and their mainstream media into days of whinging about the very correct decision made by referee Raynal, after Bernard Foley was caught out for blatant time wasting.

The decision has been labelled the correct one by multiple present and former refs and almost everyone who has seen footage of the incident, but Rugby Australia are refusing to let it go and have now put their two cents worth to World Rugby.

Our reporters have got hold of the following complaint sent by Karen Wallace from Rugby Australia.

Attn: The Manager – World Rugby

Dear sir / madam,

Not in my lifetime have I seen such incompetence from a referee at the highest level. The decision for referee Mathieu Raynal to penalise Bernard Foley for time wasting has now cost us the Rugby Championship and Bledisloe Cup.

This is a great inconvenience and it has created a lot of work for me. I am also appalled that you think it’s okay to just come up with a new rule without informing anyone, especially me.

I would like your explanation for this appalling decision and also for SANZAAR to reimburse us with the points we would have gained and remove the All Blacks’ points from this match

If you put me in touch with the head of World Rugby then I will happily speak with them directly. I look forward to your prompt reply.

Karen.

More to come.
