EMBRACING HIS TRUTH
Act leader David Seymour has decided to embrace the new label he’s been given by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, and has added “arrogant/prick” as his pronouns in his email signature.
Ardern could be heard saying that Seymour is “such an arrogant prick” on her parliament microphone yesterday afternoon.
The prime minister received widespread praise on social media for her slip of the tongue, with many of her Twitter supporters saying this was the best thing she or Labour had done all year.
Seymour appears to be embracing his new identity, with rumours swirling that #ArrogantPrick could become part of his election campaign, which could include printed tee-shirts. The hashtag has been trending on Twitter today.
“I’m not too fussed about identifying as an arrogant prick to be honest. I’ve been identified as much worse in the past,” said Seymour.
“I’ve updated my email signature to include “arrogant” as one of my pronouns, and I invite the prime minister to do the same”.
