Biden Somehow Still Seems To Be The Presidential Candidate Closest To Death

Trump after surviving bullet, and Joe Biden drifting off to sleep

NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN

Despite the assassination attempt on Donald Trump at a Republican rally in Pennsylvania earlier today, US President Joe Biden still appears to be the one more likely to die on any given day.

The 82 year old had some focus taken away from him this afternoon, a welcome reprieve from all the chatter about how hopeless he was on the debate stage. There have been reports of panic in the Democratic Party, as they somehow only just discovered how horribly old and demented Biden had become.

The peculiar state of American politics left many pondering how a man who survived being hit by a bullet, seemed more vigorous than one simply dealing with the aging process. Trump emerged from his ordeal ready to fight another day, while Biden, with his quiet persistence, continues to embody the slow, inevitable march of time.

It would also appear that the attempt to kill Trump has been just as ineffective as attempts to cancel and imprison him.

Our reporters caught up with some Kiwis who were keeping a close eye on the election race in the US.

“Trump literally takes a bullet to the head and keeps going to fight another day, but Biden looks like he might blow over in a strong wind and that’ll be the end of him,” said a Wellington resident.

“Trump’s got the stamina of a loose forward who’s just jumped up from the bottom of a ruck.  Biden reminds me of my grandad. Means well, but you worry he might nod off mid-sentence and never wake up again,” said one Aucklander who had just been updated on the day’s events.

“Gotta say, Biden still looks like the hot favourite to die before the election doesn’t he?”

More to come.
