DOMESTIC CHAOS
A 47-year-old Auckland mother has today announced that nobody is helping her tidy the house, despite repeatedly rejecting every offer of assistance made by her two children who are present and actively trying to help.
Sharyn Watson has spent the morning frantically cleaning her home ahead of extended family arriving this afternoon, with the 13-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter reportedly doing everything within their power to avoid getting involved.
However, both children have confirmed they independently asked their mother whether she needed any help.
According to the children, both offers were immediately rejected.
“Do you want me to help with anything?” Sharyn’s son reportedly asked at approximately 10.14am.
“No, I’ll do it myself,” Sharyn replied, before immediately complaining that nobody ever helps her.
Ten minutes later, her daughter apparently made a similar mistake.
“Mum, I can put some stuff away if you want?”
“I SAID I’VE GOT IT,” Sharyn allegedly responded, while simultaneously carrying six cushions, a laundry basket and an armful of miscellaneous household objects towards an unknown destination.
Despite this, Sharyn maintains that she has been completely abandoned.
“Nobody is helping me here!” she said, rapidly wiping down a kitchen bench that had already been wiped down twice.
“We’ve got family coming over, the house is a mess, there’s stuff everywhere and apparently I’m the only person who cares!”
More to come.
